Have to agree

My Power DVD player wenty MIA recently so tried WMP and couldn't believe how pathetic it was SOUND wise.No amount of playing around with the controls made one iota of difference

Been a Media Player Classic user for a long, long time due to WMP crashing my PC or rather turning it off whenever I tried to play a CD. I've never been able to resolve the problem. But I am very happy with MPC.

I took Jaques advice a while ago and downloaded Media Player Classic and I have never gone back to Windows Media Player since.

So far I haven't had any problems with Windows Media Player. I do believe they can add a few features I'd like to have like with Power DVD when you play a dvd you can "capture" or "snapshot" a still from the dvd and I'd like to get the audio from a dvd or video file but nobody seems to have a way to download nothing like that.

... you've seen my stuff on 'the other side'. I've never got CLOSE to
that quality with any other program.
