Ant & Dec : Guilty or innocent?

Those loveable, Geordie, scalliwags, stand accused of having robbed their own chav viewers of over ?7,000,000. Their defence is that they were given the title "Executive producers" for mere reasons of vanity. That's strange I thought an executive producer was very much "Hands on" in a production, although they seem to have been very much, "Hands in".

Without bias from me, does the panel feel that these two, cheating, liars are innocent..............or should they fry?

Michael Grade's defence of them was that the "executive producer" tag was a vanity thing. The Geordie scamps claim they are producers, honest, but just weren't aware of what was going on.

Given that they probably have a shrine to Noel Edmonds in their home (since no one can tell them apart and they never seem to be apart, chances are they share a home), GUILTY!!!!!!!

Richard and Judy were supposed to be "Executive Producers" of their show as well.

When it came to the fraud over their "you see you pay" competition (or whatever it was called), it was "nothing to do we us Guv, honest, we left that kind of stuff for our underlings to sort out. Really, really sorry by the way".

Suppose for Richard it was like that time in the supermarket when he pick-up that bottle of wine. He knew there was someting fishhy about that phone competition but then his mind went a complete blank.

None of the cunts have the backbone to stand-up and take the punishment deserved.

Having said that I've often thought these premium rate phone lines are like the National Lottery, a tax on the poor and stupid.

Symptomatic of so much today. Everyone wants the credit when something works, but when it goes wrong it's a case a of pass the parcel with the blame. If something goes wrong on your watch, whether or not you did it, accept responsibility and move on. In my experience, people respect you more.

Probably true. If a named act is responsible for a project being green lit or affording it a certain status, they can have such a title should they wish.

Not a good result for the Netto Morcambe and Wise though, is it.

Vanity title or not, it happened under their name, they take the blame.

They baffle me as to how they can get prime time Saturday night show after show. Who likes these geordie batty boys? When people compare them to Morecambe & Wise or The Two Ronnies my blood boils.

And yes I reckon a lot of people at ITV, BBC and GMTV knew exactly how much fleecing was going on. Hence I never have and never will vote on any of these shite programmes.

It's like some sort of 'Tesco Value' defence that they have come out with. Guilty as charged.
