My husband works in IT, and he always says to people, AOL is basically a legal virus, get rid of it.

That's true. But the problems start after you've signed up with them. In my experience AOL are utter shite!

You must've been very lucky. We had AOL at work and from the moment it was installed it caused no end of problems. In the end we got rid of it and went to BT.

AOL can be a problem, but these days its not much of a problem at all.

I am on AOL, and I don't have a Single NOT A ONE bit of AOL Software on ANY of my machines.

I put the details into my router, and have 3 machines on wired, and 2 on wifi and you would NEVER even know what ISP i'm on as it says no where.

The only real benefit of aol used to be, they don't cut you off after 2 hours when ur on a free number/dial up, unlike all (most) the others out there, and they didnt used to careless how much you download. I regularly hit 70-80gb a month, and have done for years. They have recently changed from Unlimited to 40gb cap for new users.

This change has happened since that wanker at carphone got control.

If they try and control my download down to 40gb I'm moving to bethere as they are offering 24mbps down and a 2.5mbps upstream.
