Listened to a few tracks off side one and almost dozed off. Hope CD two is better. Very C+W and not enough rock. They really miss Don Felder, the best guitar player they have had.

They still going? They must be about 90 years old - each one.

This is the first I've heard of this.

After the early '80s, I don't think that they did anything as a band for many a long year. Then a few years ago it appears that they reformed and did a tour.

I know this because the Mrs bought the DVD of them in concert on their ... ahem ... 2004 "Farewell Tour" (so it says on the cover anyway).

We only watched it the once: A competent if somewhat hum-drum performance - they basically just stood there and played. And Joe Walsh did indeed look about 90 and totally knackered (Don Henley looked slightly younger than Walsh, but not by much).

Probably won't bother with this one - or the ***next*** "Farewell Tour" DVD!!

Got to agree Dave, Plant and some C+W singer I've never heard of is not on my shopping list.

I think the supergroups should pack it in and count their miilions and leave their legends intact.

Eagles greatist hits 1971-75
29 million people liked it enough to buy it

Your never going to top that so no surprise when new material is released its seen as a yawn.Pretty hard to get any higher than the summit

As to whether their over rated I think the above RECORD and how it continues to sell speaks for itself

The only ones who don't rate them as highly as the mainstream public seem to be the country folks.........number 36 out 40 all time greats
but maybe I'm just making light of their poll and the 35 in front of them
