I haven't been able to load this picture search engine for a while now.
Are there any other useful ones people would recommend?

It was great in it's time, but i think it has been left to die. Over the past year, the hits for certain requests have been decreasing rapidly; it's now piss-poor to be honest.
If anyone has a link to a good site of this ilk, let me know! !happy!

You mean a searchengine which doesn't track/collect your activity and therefore has no forms of paying for itself,so its demise is guaranteed?
Like the creators said it was never meant to be in the public arena so no great surprise if its been disabled.Wouldn't surprise if google had it shut down given how google is a money making company now
You might find something crawling through blogs/forums like this
