I have had a horrendous week with no heat due to a broken boiler, hubby thought by getting his "mate" round he could get it fixed in no time....WRONG, never believe a mate when he says he is a council engineer, in otherwords he just goes to the houses says "yes it's broken" and then the proper engineer goes round to fix it, although I didn't find this out until four days after he COULDN'T fix it!!!!

Without spending a whole thread on my boiler I just wanted to know is there one service/profession that you don't have a "friend" in that you wish you had.... mine is a heating engineer!!!

My boilers shit too evrey time i put hot water on to make a drink or have a bath the heating comes on im not paying 150 quid call out so i just turn thermostat down to 0
