Anyone watching the Darts on ITV4 & ITV1?
Seems to be a darts explosion this year, the Beeb featured the Winmau masters last week and a week of Grand Slam on ITV.
There must be viewers or they wouldn't showing it (we normally get what? One tournament a year on the Beeb and nowt on ITV)

I liked darts of yester-year with fat cunts like Jockey Wilson and John Lowe not like todays stars, Phil Taylor excepted.
Modern darts? I like Sid Wadell going bonkers commentating, and I ask who would win the best ever match between Eric Bristow in his prime and Phil Taylor of now.......I'd be inclined to go for 'The Power', but he has no charisma compared to 'The Crafty Cockney'

there are not so many characters in the game compared to the late 70's and 80's but the overall standard is far higher.in the 70's/80's a player hitting 100's often was considered a top player, nowadays they have to hit 140's plus regularly to be anywhere near the top. by the way, look out for Colin Osborne in the future to win some big tournaments, a nice bloke from here in Derby. i used to play for his team when he ran a pub, just wish i was anywhere near as good as him!!!
