True but then any informal votes just return the government of the day

I'm not against voting just the circus that surrounds elections

20/30 second negative TV add sound bites are what pass for educating the voters thesedaysay voters

Even now I have no real idea of the fine print in any parties policies
yet I'm being asked to vote for one of them

The voter shouldn't have to surf the net to find out this info
We're are already living in a time poor society so i suggest
that all parties have their Policies on all issues on full view at all voting booths on election day

Would wake a few people up before they vote i'd bet

I agree Mr Bigolo.

I'd like to see all candidates each get the same small amount of media space to put their case, and then just leave it alone. Many of the small parties or independants have some really interesting policies that I would never have known about if I hadn't looked them up on the web.

My only disappointment this election is the lack of stripper/porn star candidates. I think Jodie Moore was running a few years back in Queensland and came across in interviews as a really nice, intelligent girl - which must have annoyed the femonazis no end to find she wasn't a tortured drug addict!

And Howard lost by a mile. Rudd promises to distance Australia from the US over Iraq and Kyoto.

DB,

Why do the Australian Labor party spell 'Labour' the American way?

Can't say I'm sorry to see Howard beaten, but I've no idea what his victorious opponent will be like.

Oh, and is Howard the bastard offspring of Penfold and Norris from Corrie?

In Australia they drive on the left just as we do in the UK.
