Having been a member of this site for a number of years I am encouraged by a lot of the arguements put forward by members and points of view given. A lot of us must be of the same generation, background and are totally pissed of at the way this country is going down the pan. Far too many do-goodders, social workers, tree huggers, car haters etc etc.

Where is the political party that stands up for us - the British Guy, Worked all his life, paid his Tax, NI enjoys his Sport and of Course his Porn.

I feel it's time to nominate our candidates and lets get someone elected who stands for what the majority of guys on this site believe in!!

Suggestions?

The only competition would be the Tories, and as I have spouted before, how could they be worse, they will be so gratefull to get back into power life could be sweet for another 5 years, then we can worry again, The Conservative Party was in government for two-thirds of the twentieth century. There are not enough fences for the lib dems.

I'm firmly in the car-hater camp myself.

Mainstream political parties are a waste of time. Self-serving, blind and media-led. People are only interested in looking after number one, fundamentally, and so they vote for any idiot that promises 'less' tax, cheaper petrol etc. None of this is ever really delivered because the political class banks of the apathy and stupidity of the electorate, which never takes them to task. I include myself amongst the apathetic and stupid.

To me the decline of our country is down to a shift in society whereby nobody takes responsibility for themselves or their actions. That's as true of the parents who wash their hands of their ASBO kids, as of the fat cats who leave with massive pay-outs after fucking companies up, as of politicians who never admit mistakes and have to be pushed to even consider resigining over serious errors of judgement, as of footballers blaming managers rather than their own performances. I have no idea when or how this came about. When I was a kid if you were caught doing something wrong, you owned up and took it on the chin. Now, kids revel in a blame culture which absolves of any responsibility. It truly saddens me.
