I sooooo hated this group of folk from the Borders' patter, if they digged something, for example: "New Order? Aye, to the max!!!"- done my napper in! To the max?!?!?!?! Eeeeeeeeeew.
The American delivery of 'whateeeeeeeveeeeeeeeur' seems to be a token riposte of the modern day lady (Dibble translation: chav bird manky-skank) and is sooooooooooooo piss-poor it's untrue. I'm sure there are quite a few that get my goat..... "Pure mentul, man" and a Glasgow word that is quite new that signifies being ripped off: "skanked". Yuk.

Any type of Americanism gets me annoyed !annoyed!

They seem to just prolong the vowels for 'comic effect' which went passed through a sanity decoder comes out as 'utter brainless shite'.

or

Again, Americanism........ the Jerry springer style whooping and "USA! USA!" is another. I don't do high-fives, sometimes playing footie - I generally make for the high 5 and do the arm wrestling- hand clasp blood-brother handshake thing.

I actually saw that happen on a Yank porn film once - I nearly put my foot through the TV with annoyance!!
