Listening to Pink Moon just now, and cannot believe this guy's stuff was so criminally overlooked during his short working lifetime. I know we've discussed him at odd times before, but he really was something special. Has been in vogue for a few years now, since the likes of Paul Weller cited him as a major influence, but I cannot understand what was so much better in the early 1970s that his career didn't take off.

And yes, Tarquin, I'm familiar with his mental history :-)

Never heard his work but it sounds good there were quite a few in the 70s who never got anywhere Duncan Browne was another.

She also appeared in one of the Mayfair loops and had a few nude roles in 70's softcore romps

No worries, Ace. I knew it would happen, which is why I delayed posting.

And his sis was seriously hot.

Right, have to be going. See you guys later.

I totally agree with Caractacus, Nick Drake was wonderful, a haunting voice and superb musical ability. For those who don't know his music I would suggest Riverman and Fruit Tree as a good into to his repertoire.
