What a good boy I am.

When waiting in the cue to pay for my shopping this morning, I noticed that there was an elderly couple in front of me. When the elderly lady came to pay for her shopping she took her purse out of her bag opened it and took the notes out and gave one (ten pounds) to the lady on the checkout. Unbelieveably she then place this bundle of notes down on the counter, moved away to pack the shopping into her bag and just left this bundle of tenners laying there right in front of me. Of course being an upstanding citizen I lent over and said to the lady: "You've left your money lying here". She looked stunned and had no idea what she had done. She picked her money up and said to me: "Oh, you are such a good boy for being that kind and helpful".
I can't recall the last time someone called me "boy".

Not only was that nice Trumpton but that was your civic duty. I trust she rewarded you with an Everton Mint.
Believe it or not i help old people all the time and cant stand when i see these young whipper snappers taking advantage of the elderly.

It's sad when you see old people in deep suspicion when you help them. A few weeks ago I saw an elderly couple, pull up in their car, one of the rear tyres had blown and they had completely mashed up the rim. Anyway being a member of porn's "Hearts of Gold", I offered to change their wheel, which I duly did. What was sad was when I had completed the job, they couldn't believe there wasn't some kind of "Catch" involved, ie demand for cash or a stabbing. Mind you if they'd known what I do for a living, they probably would have stabbed me to death!
Are there any other "Hearts of Gold" out there?

No. She was just grateful to receive her purse back intact.
