Naw, there's a CUNT going around recently saying the world will end next year.

They call him Icke.

There's always someone predicting the end of the world. Just before the first millennium, Christian era, there were all sorts of people expecting it all to end.

Seem to recall, when I was in my teens, a specific date in August was the end of the world. It was a gorgeous Sunday and passed without panic.

One day they'll get it right . . . but even a broken clock shows the right time at some point.

If you feel like soiling yourself at the doom, type '2012' into YouTube....... there has long been theories that the world will "end" in 2012.

End is in inverted commas due to the fact that it won't be the destruction of the planet; a cataclysmic event- perhaps. The general consensus of Mad Opinion seems to be that the year will herald the END of the world as WE KNOW IT, ie there may be a huge change in human consciousness, us wee apes reaching a higher level. Maybe oil may have long peaked, and that is ta-ta, leaving us 200yrs behind and in the dark.

It may be tripe, but better tripe than even more mental tripe; David Icke and his 'illuminati'-based hypotheses that we are ruled by a secret society in Europe, which HRH the Queen is privy to, who look human but are in fact lizards!! He also states that the Royal Family are all of this 'iluminati' species, ie they are all lizards. That wasn't fudgey-freestyle there, that actually is what he is preaching. !nuts!

'Our' Lizard (forum liz) is a lizard, though. He may know about this lizard-based stuff.

I will embrace it when it happens. Shouldn't be for ages yet, as I haven't been doiing daft things like pissing off deities or tempting that gullible tosser, Fate.

For all we know, there may be a grain of truth to the world conspiracy stuff spouted by Icke and pals, but he burned the good ship Credibility years ago during his turquoise/son of man phase---and the lizard business isn't going to win him many recruits.

I tend to be fatalistic: shit happens.
