Its been said on the news that petrol protests will start up again this weekend.............will you be supporting it ??

Just my view, that this problem is not the actual cost of the oil etc. BUT THE TAX, DUTY and then VAT ON TOP of that !!!

The US Federal government has already REDUCED its tax take on a gallon to keep the cost acceptable to ITS PUBLIC...............The UK government seems to forget that WE PAY their wages.....

Will the great british public blink first......... like they did in 2000 ??

!sleep!

The problem this time is that the government sneaked in bit about interfering with the fuel supply in one of the anti-terrorist bills recently. Therefore, any petrol protesters will now be classed and dealt with as terrorists.

The Petrol Prices in this country are a joke,I for one would like to wish them good luck with their protest and I am 100% behind them, why should we pay more than double for petrol that other countries pay.

Because we pay a lot less in income tax than lots of other countries pay?

The problem with this country is that we want decent public services - but we don't want to pay for them.

I'm against Petrol Protests because it's anti democratic.

If you want the Tax take on fuel reduced - vote for a political party that says that's what they will do if they get into power. You can then take the whole package that goes with the tax-cut.

As I don't have a motor car and I got rid of my motorbike earlier this year (too expensive to run) I won't be joining the petrol protest.

Get on your bikes, just like I've done. Pedal power is the way forward!

!pleased!

What I don't understand is - if fuel is so expensive, why is it that one in six new cars sold is a gas guzzling 4x4?

Not true, there is something we could all do about it, something that would bring petrol prices down till they were giving it away, simply dont use or fill your car, taxi, van whatever up for a week. The whole of the oil business is completely run by computerised systems, from the wells to the pump, if you stop buying it at the pumps you fuck the whole system up, and the world is awash with oil trying to get somewhere but having no-where to go, supermarkets cannot take delivery,s, tankers are grounded and the whole system gets fucked, they then have a huge back log of unused fuel that would have to be got rid of at any cost.
