I've posted on the Euro-BGAFD league; I'm just wondering what happens for team selection and transfers for the knockout stages/ last 16?

Does anyone know, or will we be informed in due course as the fixtures are a long way off in early '08?

I've been sloppy with the Euro league and not touched the team, leaving it all to the 'random factor'; I want to address transfers for the KO-stages and make a wee effort.

You get 110 virtual millions to spend, and you have unlimited free transfers right upto the morning of the next matches start.

I changed 6 players last night, and if any get injured in the meantime, I can replace them for free as long as it's before the next round starts.

I was getting fecked off because of late injury updates which interferd with getting good points.

Van der Sar and Arbeloa of Liverpool are two cases in point.

I'll make my changes when I know the draw for the next round. Does 'money in the bank' carry over??

You get 110 million regardless of money you had in the bank before. Basically, you start from scratch, but with an extra 10 million.

Only half my team has played for the last two rounds due to injury or squad rotation with the teams already being through and players rested.

I'm just glad I've had reasonably good scoring; I think you are 30-odd points ahead, is quite a bit at Euro level- no bonuses makes gaining 'cheeky', helpful points and any comeback much tougher. At the Premier League fantasy footie level, it is NOTHING with the amount of games to be played.

Yep, just seven matchdays left, and you'll be replacing players every 2 matchdays if they're in teams that have been knocked out.

Very true, excellent observation. There must be some catch?

Don't think there's a catch - unless you can't replace players who've been knocked out, which is silly as some people may be left with no players in the final at all!

Wazza's the one who religiously reads all the rules. Maybe he'll let us know.

It may be better that way, to allow discrimination and prevent everyone scoring heavily in the final and thus not being meaningful, competition-wise.

They might allow just the ONE (maybe 2) transfers, but as the tournament progresses, the more likely it will be that your team will have a lot of finalists in it as the participants whittle down.

It would be tricky to keep it sensible, I think. We'll see.
