Yes thats right you heard correctly. Last night there i was enjoying a nice beer with my brother when trouble erupted. The Dickhead in question was a Goth. I have no problem with anyone and go about my life nice and quiet, but i take offence when someome tosser hits me on the head with a bottle. The guy in question was off his head on god knows what and decided to launch a bottle right at my head. Needless to say i was a tad angry so i thought back and gasve him a beating he wouldnt come back from. I was later charged by the police for assault, but i didnt start nothing. The guy ended up in hospital and received 12 stiches to the head, thats a dam site less than he deserved. Just another friday night hey. By the way i still love Harmony Hex.

Hey I'm not a goth. I smile and my wardrobe contains some non-black clothing. And I definitely done whine enough to be a goth.

I don't usually go out drinking at night at the weekend. It's always too much hassle. I prefer getting drinks in and having friends over then I'm in control of the dickheads !happy!

If there are witnesses, you should be able to claim self defence from an attack with a weapon.

As Ace said, JB, if there are/were witnesses to the bottle incident, you should be able to put a case for self-defence. There's always some arsehole who, when in their cups, thinks violence is a good idea. Rather glad I don't imbibe much.

Whilst this is true, you still need to be aware of 'reasonable force'. Claiming self defence isn't good enough on it's own.

Well i must confess i do box a bit, as for witnesses yes i have 4 of them, and they have all given statements to the police, so hopefully i should be ok. Thats the first time ive ever hit a guy and hopefully the last, like i said i like to go about life in a quiet way, but when someone attacks u with a glass bottle because they are out of there mind, what are u to say no probs. By the way i know your a rock chick Harmony sorry for the mix up.

I've always believed that if you are a victim of an unprovoked attack you should be allowed to use robust pro-active defence to protect yourself. If the attacker is on drugs or alcohol you certainly should be able to defend yourself with commensurate force.
