Who was/is brave enough to venture into this terrifying activity?

I spoke to my cousin in London and he tells me that the shopping centres were packed to the gunnells with mad shoppers spending money like there's no tomorrow!

Hey Trumpty!!

Fuck that!!

Im kinda lucky,I only have to buy a handfull of presents and I do it all on line!! Why any one bothers to go to a shop is beyond me. Then again I do kinda hate people. OK ,OK really hate people.

A couple of years ago I spent Christmas and new year in London and was just amazed by how many people turn out. Oxford street is truelly teryfying (sp?) for a recluse like me,this time of year!!

The big present for me,is the one for my niece (fuck knows why the little bugger has never even spoken, when im there) I made the huge mistake of buying her favourite toy last year. So this year I bought what my Brother told me to buy. I got it for quater of the RRP on Amazon. So thats just fecking great!! Got what I was told to buy, saved money and not had to go to a shopping centre!!

So in short.....never ever go to the out side world. Its a bad place!!

Cheers

BB

I've been doing my xmas shopping for the last month so I could purposely avoid the crowds.

Today I had to go and get one final gift from the Apple Store and it was a nightmare so I am glad thats all I needed because I just couldn't face the endless queue's

Also.... thank god for the internet, I've done 90% of my shopping online this year like last year, let someone else do all the hard work :)

Must admit, amazon has been my best friend this year. I've only my brothers and parents presents left to get and I've not even left the house yet!

I keep getting panic attacks thinking of going into town.

I love it you get to ogle all the loverly pussy and they think you are a really nice guy when they see you buying all these cute little pressies ... now that you don't get online aye boyos!!

Amazon is quite frankly one of the worst designed sites I have ever had the displeasure to try and fucking browse, closely followed by Play and when you add the marketplace dudes (aka banned ebay gangsters) on these sites I think you will agree that you are far better being unreclusive and toddling down to ye olde shop of curiosity.

Reports are that xmas spending is down this year. i did read that in november though so dont know if its picked up.
I have noticed that alot of stores are marking down there stock pre xmas though so bargains ahoy.
The fact that over the last 2 years they now have days where they completely cordon oxford street off to transport and its made fully pedestrianised shows that retail must be suffering - possibly from internet retailing??
E retailing is up by nearly 40% this xmas so seems thats becoming the trend. i do all mine online - well as much as i can.

i also read that the yanks are spending $4.6 billion per week on xmas shopping at the moment.
