It seems that both Magoo and Dibble, didn't understand the post I made about the 'Anal' question. So I'll explain it again so that they and anybody else out there can see what most producers are up against.

It's not 'punter' pressure that makes most producers insist on anal in their videos, it's pressure from the companies in America that distribute the videos that insist on it.
They say it's demanded by the punters in the states and if the UK producers want to sell product in the states then either 'get with the programme' or struggle elsewhere!

Now lets take a step back and look at this from the producers point of view:
A) It costs more to shoot anal / DP, but we don't get paid more for having it in the video. (But it does make a difference between either selling or NOT sell the video!)

B) Yes there are a lot of girls out there who 'DON'T DO IT' but how many producers have been caught out by shooting a 'new' girl and not doing anal with her because she told them that she'd never do it, only to find out that three weeks later the same girl has done anal for a rival producer!
Then the problems start when the distributor finds out and says "Well why the fuck did you shoot her without anal, when she did it for those other arseholes! Are you a dickhead or what!"......and so the story goes on and on.

So he's the bottom line....I've been in this business a long time and I've seen a lot of changes, but one change I've never seen is the business getting 'softer'!
So producers either adapt or they fade away....I've adapted and that's why I'm still here!

I agree. There is no doubt that anal is popular these days and the fact of the matter is that while porn is being made people will want to see anal sex. Hornetbloke said 'if you can't beat them, join them' well quite.

I understand the economics and the business reasons behind it John.

But in my view it is still a complete waste of talent if a nice looking girl gets no work because she only does vaginal.

You?re quite correct John and I wish you well on your chosen course. However, Officer Dibble, like most folks out on Civi St, has only a passing taste for anal so would have to force himself to make, or invest, in movies were anal was the main course, and that he is not prepared to do. So, if it came to the stage where I had to make the main selling point of a movie I just wouldn't do it, I'd go an do something else first - maybe join the Foreign Legion, or something.

And all those punters out in the states that are supposedly demanding anal don't like it anymore than the average Brit. Because it's currently fashionable they feel they have to profess an appetite for it to feel part of the in crowd. Of course that doesn?t make any difference to producers, they just have to give punters more of what the punters think they want to make their living.

It's also true the porn doesn?t get any softer, producers feel they need to go one better than the rival studio So expect to see 'Barley Legal Bukake Bollocks Teenies Meet Cum Slurping, Asshole Gaping Anal Bitches Volume 69' coming to a crap video shop near you soon. But where will it all end? Where will the line be drawn? There's already talk in the US of those, Bukake Bollocks, Cream Pie divis in LA drawing the heat of religious Right Attorney General John Ashcroft and other well know liberals. Handing them a big stick to beat the adult industry with.

There are certain things that you do to get work or a sale from a client, parts of which do not really fit within the remit of the job you had agreed too but you do anyway, 'cos if you don't some other bugger will, and at the end of the day, it's all about your profit which puts food on the table etc.

At some point, you will have to make the decision to let it go entirely, and concentrate on what the new girls are willing to do, or start to pay less for van ordinaries, so you can pay the extra money to girls able and willing to do anal.

Anal is a very black & white subject, girls either do it because they enjoy it, or it's a "fuck of jack" because it's painful, or it?s repulsive to the girl.

There are certain movies in the US that depicts two or more men giving the girl a very rough ride, almost abusing the model. I find this distasteful personally, and would definitely not shoot it.

What I am saying John, is that I am sure you know what you will do, or won't, and at some point, you have to make that decision based upon various personal and profit based criteria.

In principle I agree with you, but in reality if the producers in this country didn't produce what the distributors wanted , they (the distributors) would go elsewhere and we'd be out of business and this forum would be a lot less interesting!

Dibble, I agree that producers should only make films that they are happy with, so long as they can sell them.

You can't win on this subject of anal. True it's down to everyones subjective tastes. I hold my hands up to some questionable envelope pushing shoots consisting of anal, but no one has mentioned anything about the models. There are some models who have a taste for the extreme. I could name drop one: Kelly Stafford. I could name drop several others who personally like to push the boundaries a bit further than their peers would like. My point being, it's not just the companies and punters but the mind set of individual producers. Let's face it, if you have a girl who comes to you on the day and tells you she can fist her own arse, as I have experienced, the producer who I am working for his jaw hit the ground and told me to go geddit boy and that is what I did. However, if it was a more extreme demand, I would simply say I would not do it. The model wanted to do it. It's never something I would ask a model. Fact is, I have shot many a scene with and many a scene without anal. I only work with consenting models who I have a chat with before hand about how far they would like to go. Sometimes I'm surprised by the answers. They usually ask me how far do I want them to go and if I want them to go that far to turn them on enough to get there. To quote one well known model who shall remain nameless: "The kind of video I would like to make, no one could shoot because everyone would get arrested and no one would be man enough to do it".
