Depends on the format of the files... if jpeg then in therory they should show on all.
If raw then may be dependent on the raw versions.
But... I've found that swapping cards in two cameras and forgetting to eject a card from a CF card reader can cause a lot of problems as the os/cameras loose track of what should be there... running a scan disck does sometimes recover some of the shots.

the camera i took 6 shots on was a fuji 8.3 megapixel and the camera i then put the card in was an aiptek 5.0 megapixel camera which the 6 shots didnt show up on when i looked in the playback menu
both cams take jpeg pics
thanks
if i was t put the card in my external card reader and right click then properties and hit format, what would that actually do to the card?does formatting the card delete everything on there or is it like when you initalize a disk so that it will play in any device/disk player?

Well, formatting the card will delete everything (it shouyld tell you this in the...............erm.............what's it called?.............ah, I got it!.............MANUAL.
Secondly, if you shot the pics at 8megs, the resolution may be too hight for the 5meg cam to read.

it dosent really say much in manual about formating sam i did look
but i reckon your right about the camera i took photo on been to higher pixel to show on the 5 mega one
last thing i also scanned some really old pics from about 3o years ago onto pc then copied them to a sd card and put card into photo frame and they show fiine but if i then put that card into either camera and goto playback both cams say no files and i thought id see the 30 old pics what id scanned to card but nothing
all 30 plus pics come to about 11 mb in size total so tiny files,is that maybe why<therye all jpegs
appreciate it

Ash,
Although both camera's record in JPEG they might??? use a slightly different file system so one might not be able to read files recorded by the other.
If you're going to use the Fuji, put the card in then go through the camera's menu to find the "format" option and use that to format the card NOT your PC.
If you then want to use the other camera (Aiptec??) upload the pics taken by the Fuji to your PC first, put the card in the Aiptec and re-format it in that camera.
Pain in the butt I know but it's probably the safest way to ensure your pics remain secure.

I would never review pics on another camera!!!!!!
Why would you do this? Oh unless it was a christmas thing....
Just review them through a card reader via your comp. Format card via new camera in the menu and voila!!!! HAPPY SNAPPING!
