Definitely a Christmas classic.
As much as I like Katie this song will forever be associated with the wonderful Kirsty McCall
RIP Kirsty, we all miss you.

I heard a KT Tunstall version on radio 2 just before xmas, sounded really good, except they bottled the faggot bit, and ended with 'braggart'

I like Katie Melua but I'm not keen on that version on Fairytale of New York. I think she has a really nice voice that's very distinct but it doesn't really seem right for that song.

I agree with Harmony in that Katie is very talented but this song dosnt suit her, but to be fair to Katie she does have a go at singing a varied selection of songs and does it live which is more than you can say about a lot of performers, but if her singing career goes down the pan she could always do porn !love!

You could start an argument in an empty room, I may have spelt her name incorrectly but I do have all her cd's & considered myself a genuine fan when she was alive.
I believe you have some roots in Cumbria, well as a fellow Cumbrian I take great pleasure in telling you to fuck off you prick.
