Best original soundtrack

Plenty of scope here: lots of stuff by Bernard Hermann, John Williams, Howard SHore, Danny Elfman, Jerry Goldsmith etc.

For me, nothing comes close to Vangelis's work on Blade Runner. Listening to Memories Of Green just now, and it is sublime.

Off on a tangent, the only thing worth watching Death Wish 2 for is Jimmy Page's soundtrack.

Been listening to Ennio Morricones The Mission just the other day. Its really hard to decide what is the penultimate soundtrack but the composers you have mentioned have done some right rocking good stuff

One of my favourite scores to listen too is Goldsmiths "Islands In The Stream" and "Papillon"

I just aquired Goldsmiths full length limited edition score to A L I E N Big fan of the late Basil Poledouris as well

Oh Aye! Blade Runner - sublime, I have a copy of the Esper Edition, it's astonishing.

I also like Requiem For A Dream (as used by Sky Sports) and it was a Wolves supporter that wrote it which makes it even better.

There is that, yeah.

Sorry to hear of the loss of Ron Jukes though.
