Jacqui Smith - Hackney

So, what about Jacqui Smith (she?s the Home Secretary) saying that Hackney is far to moody a manor to be walking there at night, then retracting and saying that she once popped out for a kebab in Peckham ? with her armed bodyguards! What about the poor (decent) fuckers who have the misfortune to live in Hackney or Peckham? What if they step out at night? They don?t have the benefit of heat-packing heavies. How do they go on? And why, if she is the Home Secretary, isn?t she doing anything about it? Why isn?t she sending in lightly armed state sponsored paramilitary groups to kick the mighty shit out of any knife wielding ?gangsta? fucks (or similar), leaving them cowering terrified in their council hovels and the streets safe for the half decent taxpaying folk of those boroughs? She?s not doing her fucking job right, is she?

I used to live in Farleigh Road, Hackney where there was the recent murder.

NO she is fucking not.
Trouble is there are also a damn site more who should be and aren't:

Targets met = problems reduced.
Targets remaining in glossy booklets or web pages to appease = 0
Every single council has these strategies and have had them since 2002, if not sooner.
6 years of "targets" that they have "committed" to.
I've got a letter this morning from a company doing a survey on Home Office performance it's going back with LISTEN.
Contact the Home Sec (or any other minister or even MP) and you get a reply from some office monkey. The last reply I got from her office wasn't even signed.
The office monkey isn't arsed, the Council's and their partners aren't arsed they do the minimum and all because when the shit hits the fan no flack comes their way.
I am not defending Jacqui Smith in any way she is fucking useless but in most areas I've been involved with its down to people at more local and junior level basically not doing what they are paid to.
A lot is quite rightly being said about Garry Newlove at the moment but if you look at Warrington's Community Safety Strategy you will see alcohol and anti-social behavior are "Key Priorities."
IF something had been done about these "Key Priorities" Garry Newlove probably wouldn't have been murdered.
Sorry for the wrong reply.
