Holiday Entitlement

Back in October, the minimum wage was increased as was Holiday Entitlement by an extra 5 days as I recall.........now, my cunty employers say this isn't the case and the extra days are public holidays which I have anyway, so my paltry 21 days is still that with the usual Bank Holidays.
Am I being rammed by my boss or is he correct? And if I am right, when do they start from? My initial guess is the same date they were increased, ie October 1st.
Can someone put me right before I go in and tell him the law (again)

I think you're being rammed mate.Have a chat with your union rep(if you have one)
The sickening thing is that complimentary days like xmas and easter are now included in one's holiday entitlement.
Apparantley the Government think we have too much time off,and the unions take backhanders to agree with them.
Sometimes i wonder why i pay my union fees.

Thanks Mike, I DO think he's trying to rape me, but I need some link that shows I should be getting the extra days.

You are being rammed by your boss.
Since October, Bank and common law holidays can no longer be taken out of holiday entitlement. That situation will improve in April.
