On the bright side....

Hey

So the failings of this forum and its members has been pointed out all to clearly I see. Some very valid points have been made by certain forumites about the habits and practices of other certain forumites (the best observation coming from OEJ)

I have chosen to abstain from the thread in question. I have my personal opinions on certain members but choose to keep them to my self. Spineless? Perhaps. Or maybe I just fail to see what good it would do to voice them.

So rather than spout off about certain negative aspects of this forum I would like to address some of the positive aspects I have experienced in my time here.

I have no deep interest in UK porn. I found this place by accident whilst nosing on a former GFs carear. So I kept coming back as an anymous board crawler, becoming more and more adicted. So eventually I made my first post. And that was it,I was one of the gang.

Since then I have argued and rowed with certain members. Got the hump and sulked at times. Read posts that pissed me off so much I have had to walk away from here.

But at the same time I have laughed and even cried. I have recieved kind words of comfort during recent bouts of illness (not all of which has been physical) I am now in contact with a forumite who has done so much wonderfull and kind stuff for me they have an open invititation to stay at Beeston Towers any time they want (and its not Ms Hex or Shelley L....all though they are VERY welcome) . I recive E-mails checking that my Goldfish are still OK. I have had priceless techie, music, film advice. Only today a member of this forum sent me a lovely message on MSN even though I wasn't signed in. Just seeing that I was OK.

Like many people these days I live alone away from home. I have lived in this house for three years and still do not know my neighbours names. My friends are scattered all over the country. As a society we are becoming more alienated from each other. Places like this are becoming more and more important to a growing number of people. This place has its faults and no mistake. But all in all it aint a bad little corner of cyber space.

May I say....thankyou for having me

BB

We've all had to walk away from here- but then we come back.

It's a good Forum- filled with good folk. Magoo could argue less; Dibble could put his Jon Gaunt character into a box for longer. But both are good people who do their best.

I only have a problem with one poster who thought he could make some cheap laughs by humiliating and patronising me. Nobody does that to me.

I don't have a problem with anyone else on here- not his friends or his 'forum' readers- if such a forum exists.

This place is one of only a few places on the Net that keep me sane and entertained and happy. Enjoy it and revel in it -but don't abuse it.

Peace and happiness to all.

I'm agreeing with you BB.

I've only ever had two serious arguments during my time on this forum. One was late last year with a senior member of this forum who I did feel went beyond the boundaries of a forumite. The other was from someone who did post here fairly regularly but has since departed. I'm convinced that his disapproval of my postings was due more to a misunderstanding on his behalf as opposed to anything I said against him.
