Storms!!!

Well we've had every variation of a storm today! We had freezing icy rain coming in straight off the River Clyde, followed by big ice crystals whipping in from another direction, then the snow from an altogether new direction.

The wind is gale force and has caused damage! Our office/factory roof was partially torn off - again. So muggins had to get out his tool kit and try to repair the damage. I said to the boss that he needs to employ a specialist roof tiler or some such - but he says he can't afford that.

The transport is all up the spout. Our delivery couldn't go out today as the lorry driver couldn't get to the yard because he had storm damage to his house! All in all it's nothing short of awful.

I'm at home now with a big hot cup of tea munching on some digestive biscuits wrapped up with my heater on full.

Is'nt it amazing when Britain hits a spot of bad weather the whole country goes into meltdown?

In London they shutdown the Tube network if there's a heavy storm or a little bit of snow !idontbelieveit!

If only they saw the adverse weather conditions that the USA,the Carribean and Asia experience. Now that is serious shit.

We just don't know how lucky we are !happy!

Tell me about it. To get out of city centre my way every road leads uphill
and as soon as you get a heavy fall of snow then that's it.

Gridlock - so gritters say they can't get round to clear snow off roads
This then leads to cars being abandoned and 3 lane roads down to 1 lane
A 3 or 4 mile journey then takes hours

Never hear of these problems in parts of world you mention or even
in other European countrties that get far heavier snowfalls than us

You could'nt make it up.

Last year(February) when London had it's minor dose of snow, the Gritters were only sent out when it actually started snowing, ignoring all weather warnings that snow was on it's way.

No word of a lie,by 7am that day the M25,M4 and London's A- Roads was a white blanket.

The Highways Agency and TFL could'nt organise a piss up in a brewery.
What do we expect when we have a cunt like Ken Livingstone as mayor?

I'm not - although I've lived and worked in Scotland now for over 13 years. This represents 27% of my life - so far. !nerd!

We had exactly the same happening here. One gritter ended up being stuck in a snow drift.

Ha ha.Priceless.

They even suspended all Rail/Tube services.

You'd think in today's age the Rail tracks would be able to cater for all weather conditions.

Ahhh, silly me.That would cost more money !whistle!

Probably the 'wrong type' of snow
