It's always the women isn't it?
Why do muslims hate women so much?

Probably goes back millennia to the matriarchal religions and societies. The Judeo--Christian-Muslim lot were very anti-women.
The fact is that some people are happy with a mediaeval approach to religion. I've stated my belief before that some people in society see women thriving, while they struggle, and feel that isn't right. Chances are I'm talking bollocks, but I think that's what appeals to so many young male Muslims who become radicalised---a chance to reclaim their manhood by treating women as less than cattle.

They take misogynism to new heights.

Do the Zionist Jews, or Evangelical Christians beat on women just as much.......where death is all so familiar and commonplace?
That young girl was probably excited that she was leaving a rural area of Pakistan to come live in the UK. All she got was imprisonment, beatings and death.
I don't think you're talking bollocks about men trying to reclaim their manhood. I was watching a programme on the BBC not so long ago, talking about faith schools and a young Muslim girl was arguing with another male Imam. You could see the guy was livid that a 'woman' was disagreeing and arguing back. Even the Quran says it needs the word of two women to equel the word of one man; and this is where I disagree with you on one word, Carac: 'Radicalised'. They're not radicalised, but 'true' Muslims.
The same goes for all three faiths; we call them radical if they're being true to their scriptures, which it's about time we changed. There's nothing extreme about obeying a book, if you believe it to be the word of God. It's a duty.
What we'd call a 'good' Christian, or a 'liberal' Muslim, are only called such because they ignore certain aspects of their scripture. They're cherry-picking what rules to live by, and what rules to ignore. They're hypocrits and bad Christians/Muslims.
If the Bible/Quran/Hadith says 'beat your wife', then doing so isn't radical in the slightest. It's the bad Muslims that I'm happy with, if you get my meaning!

Can't fault any of that, Sam.
The main difference with Christianity and Judaism v Islam is that the former two religions have learned to change with the times (not as well as they should have done----see Catholicism and contraception, for example----but have seen the need to evolve to continue to make themselves relevant to their target congregations). By contrast, Islam---once a centre of learning, science and mathematics---has been dominated by those who see the mediaeval world as a golden age.
I'm sure Wazza or yourself will be able to tell me who said it, but someone said you can judge a society by how it treats its worst citizens. In some Muslim countries, that means women---and they are still treated as sub-human in countries we in the west treat as allies.

Agreed.

I'm guessing....Oscar Wilde?

Take your word for it. Couldn't recall, and couldn't be bothered looking it up.

No, it's not Wilde. I was thinking of "If England treats her criminals the way she has treated me, she doesn't deserve to have any." which is along the same lines.
