They are still at it

According to a report on teletext this morning Gorbals Mick, speaker Martin,
has been using air miles accrued from flights on official business, paid for by the tax payer, to upgrade flights for family members from London to Glasgow to business class, the rules clearly state that these air miles should be used against future business flights to reduce costs.
Also Grim Gordon, our PM, has failed to declare a rental income of ?1600 for an office which he rents out to his constituancy labour party but which is paid for out of public funds.
What bets that they are simple administative errors/oversights by some minnion?

If the Speaker of the House is involved with these basic administrative "oversights" then it's quite simply a disgrace.

They most certainly are, but there never seems much interest in that here. I posted some time ago with a link to the excellent site which at least keeps the worst of it in the spotlight, including bringing plenty of pressure on the very slippery Peter Hain who at least is reduced to whatever he can get away with as an MP rather than all the extras he could get away with as a minister. If anyone bothered to look at the link, there was certainly no comments about it.

If anyone is interested, the piece on there at the moment about Ed Balls is worth a read.

Yes, Gorbals Mick is involved, the scandal is compounded by the fact that he is chairing the committee set up to review standards in parliament !!

That's a total disgrace. I thought the Speaker was above such scandals - but apparently that's not the case.

And what about Red Ken and his crony, Lee Jasper? There are allegations of jollies to Africa and other moody shenanigans at council taxpayers expense.

The phrase

Do as I say, not as I do

springs to mind!!
