I am not a spice viewer but I can tell you that Hotbird is at full strength. I was flicking through the numerous VH1s and Discovery Channels on Hotbird this very evening. I do often get bored with porn and opt for more wholesome televisual entertainment. However I must admit that I ended up watching some live entertainment show from Italy with the most lovely looking girls in short dresses. Who needs porn?
As an aside it is great to be able to flick between forty music channels as you can always find some decent music even if its on an obscure Italian station.

I forgot to say that individual transponders on a satellite can fail as can individual uplinks from the broadcasters. Also switching errors might occur. A particularly amusing one was when some technician in Luxembourg fell asleep and didnt re-route a feed correctly which resulted in a hardcore porn channel broadcasting Vatican TV to its porn-hungry viewers for the whole night. I doubt His Holiness was informed of his new found audience.
I also remember once watching a family film on Filmnet (now part of Canal Plus) during the day when suddenly thirty seconds of hardcore filth appeared. Whilst it was not a big deal I felt it was wrong that kids would have seen it. Luckily they probably never even noticed it but the parents did. No reprimand was issued to Filmnet(Canal Plus) as a result. Due mainly to the view that sex is not harmfull. Unlike violence in action films.

I knew that the resident sarcy gits JJ and Buttsie would eventually bring up the subject of my favourite german lady tv presenter. Best legs I have seen and great taste in knickers. I hope she has not retired permanently as Sat1 has not been the same since she went. I gather she still appears on WDR but not with her legs/mini skirt in view. Its a tragedy.

My god Filmnet. That takes me back. I remember seeing quite a few films on that before they were shown on sky.
