When i think of ATV one word springs to mind.

TISWAS!!!!!!!.The best Saturday morning programme ever.Tarrant and Lenny Henry were legend and the sexylicious Sally James made this programme TV heaven !bow!

Those were the halcyon days of ITV.

ITV is shite now: all corporate and samey ... virtually no regional variation or even identity any more ... over 25% (16 minutes) of every one-hour slot taken up by crap adverts ... every programme "sponsored" by someone or other (meaning additional ads at the start and end of each ad break) ... movies butchered to accommodate ads ... and that's before we even get to the shite programming of endless game-shows and so-called "reality" TV.

Another thing that pisses me off when I'm watching the box these days is banners that appear towards the end of programmes telling you what 's "coming next", voiceovers, squashed-up end credits to accommodate more "coming nexts" and such like.

With all the various possibilities available now for checking the schedules, do they think that the average modern viewer lacks the intelligence to do exactly that for themselves (mind you come to think of it - maybe they have a point!!)?
