Well done the mighty Spurs.
This can only be good for football that a team other than the so called "big four" has won a trophy.
Lets now hope that a different team other than the usual suspects can get into the Champions League
With only four clubs winning every year this is getting bad for football in this country and a total bore

Great to see someone outside the Big 3 win something with no little style as well. Just hope they keep Berba, he is a different class.

No i don't hate Chelsea at all and would like to see them win the Champions League
What i was saying was that it is bad for football that only 4 teams seem to win everything
Anyway my team has fallen on hard times and is in League 1 . Mind you we have won 2 European cups in the past which is more than any of the London teams. Had two great trips to the finals.
Also give a shout for Mansfield Town fighting to stay in the League

Mike - I've no particular axe to grind with CFC.
In fact I remember some cracking games between them and my lot (the "fallen giants" of Sheffield Wednesday) back in the '80s, not least the marathon League Cup quater final of the '84 / '85 season. Been to the Bridge a few times as well in my time (had a mate from London who was a big CFC fan) both as a neutral and to watch the Owls (when we were a half-decent Division 1 / Premiership side).
No - I just share nikonman's view that once the same couple of teams start to monopolise everything season-in, season-out, then (if you're a neutral) the whole game becomes predictable and - basically - boring.
The SPL has been like that for decades now (who's gonna win the league this year - Celtic or Rangers?) and the Premiership / FA Cup has been like it for a decade (no winner or either from outside the "Big 4" since 1995, when Blackburn and Everton respectively won 'em), and until yesterday I think 'Boro have been the only "also rans" to break their monopoly on the League Cup during the same period (though I may be wrong on that).
Which is why - from a neutral standpoint - Spurs' win yesterday (and the manner in which they achieved it) was like a breath of fresh air through the whole game in England.

I'm nursing one massive mother of a hangover, having been at Wembley to witness the glory, glory days come flooding back. Play up you Yids!!!!!
Mike, I hate Chelsea not because of what's happened to the club (a tragedy for all real CFC fans) but because of the amount of bother as a Spurs' schoolboy CFC fans gave me. Along with the Hammers, you lot were the most racist, aggro twats in London. I also think you might be of the generation, like me, that knows that the real venom was never Spurs vs. Gunners, it was always Spurs vs. CFC, with Leeds a close second.
Anyway, having taken both Arse and CFC scalps, won a cup, and secured Europe for the third consecutive year, there is, once again, only one team in London: Tottenham, Tottenham, super Tottenham from the Lane!
This is just the start. Ramos has Spurs believing and performing. Next season a top four finish without fail. In the interim though, I'm looking forward to us lifting the UEFA Cup.

Will you be going if Chelsea reach the champions league final?.
Not a easy place to get to this time round.

Forest fan eh?.You're just another Liverpool. All you can do is live off your history. But at least you're coping with the bad times, like we had to throughout the 1980's
I'm surprised you have'nt brought up the 7-0 gubbing we (Chelsea) took at the City Ground in 1991,so you can't be bad afterall.nikonman wrote:
