Did anyone like this band?
The South London band fronted by Glen Tillbrook who had their best success from the late 70's to mid 1980's.
I went to see them at The Hammersmith Apollo just before xmas(last year) minus the brilliant Jools Holland and they were amazing.
Best Squeeze record by far is Labelled With Love or Up The Junction
45's and Under is just quality. One of the best CD's in my CD collection.

I did'nt get into them till the late 1980's when i left School.
Paul Carrack was then a band member before/whilst with Mike and the Mechanics.Elvis Costello also worked with Squeeze, producing a few of their songs.

I bought one of their compilations last year...the one with the dvd of their videos...Dear lord w've come a long way in the music video genre to say the least ...LOL
Like that Jam vid: Start with the three of them running down the street....What the hell was that about? I bet they all cringe watching that today.
Now adays music is all about the videos it seems. The song itself is secondary to its marketing potential ie ringtones.
Ok I'm totally going off on a tangent now.

I was reading Jools Holland's memoirs and they are a virtual biography of Squeeze until he and Gilson Lavis left.
They virtually imploded after that- I know Chris Difford was too ill to perform for many years- but I know they do play together occasionally as well as separately.
They were one of the GREAT bands of the 1980s.
