last night the penny finaly dropped. i had been wondering why all my food was going off so fast. i though maybe my kitchen was too warm or something. Then i picked up a couple of bags of crisps and asked Mr Caine why they were already past there sell by when we only bought them in tescos afew weeks ago. Crisps usully have a good long sell by.
He pointed to the little sunflower seed logo on the front and said "cos of that".
So in an attempt to make all our food healther by taking out the preservatives we now have to shop bi weekly just to make sure it is fresh.
DUH! cant believe i didnt work that one out on my own but how annoying is that?

Hence why Mums of the past had to go shopping EVERY day, for something or other, rather than the weekly shop in the car.
I say that if it gets people off their arses from watching Jeremy Kyle & Trisha then it's more than a good thing...lol.

And, have I just been unlucky, or does all this "Fairtrade" stuff not command a realistic price in the open market simply because its substandard?
I've only tried the co-op stuff, but if thats indicative of quality across the whole range, then the simple reason it doesn't attract a 'fair' price is because its crap.

By fairtrade they mean, they have'nt harmed any sources to make the product.Tesco and Sainsburys are the main culprits for spouting off that bollocks.
All Supermarket 'soundbiting' in other words.
Why can't we just be normal, ignore these overpaid do gooders and buy whatever the fuck we want.
We're all going to die soon or later.

It's all a con to get you to spend more money to keep the economy going. A bit like warranty on goods. All electrical goods go wrong a month after the warranty is up.
