Flicking thru the channels on SKY and noticed the trailers for the gay channel are allowed to show full frontal male nudity, non PIN protected, before 10am. Yet TVX have just been flamed by OFCON for showing a flash of gash on their previews. Considering the hetero shows are still fairly taboo about showing male genitals how come the gay channel plays to a different set of rules?

Unless the law changed recently its the same as gay swinging establishments are legal but hetro ones arent.
I guess they just dont want to be accussed of being prejudice towards the minority.

I suppose it follows then to ask the question "What are the gay channels like after encryption"? Are they harder than what Ofcon allow on the hetro channels as the likelihood of some religious nutter watching them "for research purposes" are probably less than TVX, TAC etc? Anybody know?

The expression you are looking for is, "Political correctness". There is one rule for gays and one rule for the rest of us. Hetero porn is now considered to be unsavoury, by the powers that be, whereas gay porn is merely a, "Sensitive reflection, of gay men, engaging in tasteful acts of lovemaking", unlike the rest of us, straights, who are just dirty, sleazy, old perverts!

If you want to see, this political correctness in full flow, simply visit your local NHS GUM clinic, where you will find mountains of literature for gays, with headings like, "How to cruise safely", "Cottaging and HIV, how to have fun and not die". "Public Toilet Etiquette For All" In fact one little book has pics that would not go amiss on the top shelf at the, "Prowler" shop!

Can you imagine the uproar if there was this kind of literature for straights, encouraging promiscuous, casual sex?

The only pamphlet us straights get is, "Put it Away You Dirty Bastard", "Itching penis? Serves You Right Ya Cunt". Note: This is a joke, we don't actually get any pamphlets!

I think the perfect show for TVX to make, to ensure full on hardcore without encryption could be called:

"Muslim Gays Boys in Wheelchair Frolics"

Quite simply you would cast every minority into one series, Gays, Muslim gays (Yes, I know they don't actually exist!) disabled people, lesbians, Tibetan monks, a couple of gay Kurds and you're away! OFCOM wouldn't dare say a thing.
