What I am thinking is that if these channels were free, they would get far more in advertising. Lets face it, tons of people would watch even if its only showing very mild porn.

It just seems that more adult channels are in the UK, so spreading thin the amount of people who join up.

I would also think that these channels are very cheap to run. They seem to use one studio. I would think also that they buy material cheap, after all, its almost free advertising for the 'real tapes' as people I would think go out and buy the uncut tapes (reading posts on this board that seems true).

How many UK adult sites are there now in total. OnDigital seemed to have a few (till there end), sky has some, and I think cable also do.

One last question is, has anyone in the UK made huge cash from making adult films? I have wondered if Bendover is now super rich or not.

I really had hoped that after your earlier sensible post about someone doing video distribution for small companies that you had turned the corner from your usual babbling but then you drop one like that. Your logic sucks big time (as usual) and it your comments don't even warrant commenting on.

If you believe what you have written above why don't YOU start your own free adult TV channel and fund it on advertising alone? After all, using your logic, it would be very cheap to run so surely you could afford to do it.

Though saying that, I could see a lot of firms still be interested, such as beer, as well as certain high street sex shops. I would also think that big firms would advertise adult vids for import as well as sex toys.

But then again, if you look at CH5 seems to be happy to get advertisers to be put on in between there rude shows, as well as ch4.

Your missing the point, ch4/5 dont have peoples knobs disappearing up someones fanny, well not when I last looked.

I thought that the stuff you see on TVX was no stronger than you would see on CH5.

I admit the last time I looked at TVX was two years ago, and all I saw was very edited hard core films. In fact because they had been edited to remove offencive senes, what was left seemed milder than ch5 have shown.

I am not sure if they show anything stronger now, or indeed any other channel.

I would think that even if these channels were fully paid for with 0898 ads, if the channels were free, I think you could put up with it.

We also have channels such as playboy, which (I am guessing) is just pretty girls stripping nude. A channel like this I could see no problem getting advertisers.

There are rumours abounding here on the Continent that one of the current hardcore satellite channels (Spanish controlled) is going to try non-subscription (advertiser supported) transmissions. You will still need a viewing card (there is no way that they can get around the law that adult channels must be encrypted) but it will be free. We'll look to see how that goes.
