The question is; just how genuine is this story? I ask because the Murdoch papers have a proven track record of making up stories and reporting them as actual events (Remember the plot to "kidnap" Victoria Beckham).

Also there have been occasions where the "victim" in a scoop has in fact taken Uncle Rupe's shillings in order to fabricate or embellish a story.

Par for the course for NOTW. Such "journalists" are utter scum.

The problem is that the NOTW, and almost all newspapers, are losing sales. Therefore, in a desperate bid to bolster them up and to reverse the declining sales they invent scoops and "stories".
