I don't usually go to the movies, as most are mindless wankfodder for chavscum.

But Funny Games is different. There is something of the genius of it. Something different and something redeeming to those of us pissed off with films.

I've seen the original. This is pretty much a scene-for-scene re-make and whilst I appreciate Hanneke's motivation (see ) I don't feel the need to see this like I didn't feel the need to see Gus Van Sant's Psycho remake et al.

'Funny Games' is a substantial film though ... they are out there.

I was attacking the content of films and not the content of cinemagoers!
