Excellent actor and did lots for civil rights, BUT........a advocate of Americans bearing arms. President of the Rifle and Gun club, and a great believer in gun toting. Remember his gut wrenching speech of taking his gun from his hands, only when they are cold?
I bet his hands are cold now

				Yeah no one ever said:
"Damn you!...Damn you all to hell!" and fell to their knees and pounded their fists in the sand quite like him either.
Though Homer Simpson had a damn good try.
He put in a good innings. A fighter to the end.
RIP Charlton Heston.
A shame really, his campaign for the right to bear arms would have been ok if americans didnt use it mainly to rob and kill each other.

... not forgetting the funky Seventies soundtrack and the black chick who looked like something out of "Shaft".
Good movie though.

Terribly miscast as General Gordon. Overall he always played himself. 'Ben Hur' though was a great film.
R.I.P. Mr. Heston.
