Yea or nae?
Not sure yet. Looked surprisingly tidy, good curvy figure but I am terrified she says "am I bovvered?" at some opportunity.
I fear the BBC will continue to push the stars of other shows into this series as a free source of advertising.

I gave up on the "new Who" some time ago. It tries far too hard to be oh-so hip & modern, and Tennant overacts terribly and way overdoes the manic-ness in the process.
Billie Piper was only passable as the assistant, that black girl (can't even remember her name) was dreadful, Tate (from what little I've seen of her in the role) is even worse - and John Sim is bloody awful as the master.
Think I'll stick to my vids & DVDs of the Troughtons, the Pertwees and the early Tom Bakers. THAT was when Who was Who.
I will say though that the "Satan Pit" story from a couple of years back was a stand-out. Credit where it's due.

You're a man of taste. I find the RTD 'Whos' very poor in both script and acting.
CGI doesn't make up for the lack of both. And I would pay good money for that bloody orchestra and the tone deaf miner that composes the cod music to be thrust down a pit.

Doubtless they will.
The BBC are getting quite shocking at this sort of thing. The were puffing up that film The Other Boleyn Girl on various shows (including the news) a few weeks back. I didn't hear them mention it was co-produced by the BBC.

Gave up watching it after ten minutes, Catherine Tate only seem to have one facial expression(a sort of shocked stupified look), no doubt she's there to appeal to the yooths and middle aged gay men who find her amusing, on the other hand I do find her quite attractive, but I don't think she's amusing or has any sort of acting ability.

Hideously miscast. I find her extremely physically unattractive too, even though I shouldn't say that.
The last assistant couldn't act but she was well fit, innit?
I like Tennant. He brings the right element of pantomime to it, without being Sylvester McCoy (shudder). Of course, nobody will ever be Tom Baker, but then he's a most unusual man and is quite probably not of this world.

How on earth has Tate managed to get herself in front of any camera, any microphone and on any show of any description? This represents a triumph of PC over talent. This complete dullard has been shoved down our throats by the BBC.
I stopped watching Dr. Who when Peter Davidson took over.

Disagree..thought she was great..the miming when they saw each other for the first time was top drawer. She was very good and a nice career progression for her.
