Problem With Status Bar

75% of the time when i hover the on screen arrow over a clickable link or picture the url will no longer display in the status bar in the bottom left hand corner so i can't check the url so that i know what i'm clicking on. I have no virus or trojans when i scan with McAfee. Could it be something in the registry?
