Liverpool FC-Media luvvies

Why do the media love Liverpool so much?.Even the red tops like The Sun,who's main reader base is in London, suck up to them at every oppurtunity, while the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal get scrutinised at every move they make, and get berated all the time.

Let's face it,Chelsea have been hated by The Sun even when Ken Bates was chairman.Probably because he sued them so many times for their dirty lies about him and about the club. These days the spineless Kenyon and Buck just rise above the lies, rather than putting the bastards at The Sun in their place.

The Sun won't say a bad word about Liverpool, especially after 'then editor' Kelvin Mackenzie's disgusting version of events about the Hillsborough disaster.

I was watching Soccer AM last week, where they had a list of Newspapers in Britain and some overseas, and who they 'want' to win the Champions League.More newspapers overseas wanted Chelsea to win over our Nationals, with only The Daily Telegraph rooting for Chelsea.

Is'nt it nice being so loved? !whistle!

Goes back to their Glory days of the 70's and 80's mate.
The press were almost a Liverpool fan club back then.as for the Sun, i think you'll find thats a ploy to try and get some readers back in Merseyside.

Don't get me wrong.I'm not jealous of the media affection towards Liverpool.I stopped buying The Sun when they refered to my club as 'Chelski',their reaction to when Abramovich saved Chelsea back in 2003.

I had to even e-mail The Sun with the comment "Chelski is a Polish Phrase, not Russian, you thick cunts"

They also say that Man U are media luvvies.I don't agree with that. It's fact.Man U and Chelsea are the most hated clubs by the media.

I just find it insulting that lifelong Chelsea fans like myself are tarnished with media bullshit. We did'nt ask for a rich Russian to buy our club.We did'nt ask for manufactured fans who did'nt give a shit about us 15 years ago to jump on our bandwagon.

Fair enough,it did'nt help with Mourinho's outbursts. But he has now gone, and we still get media clog.

Cunts,the lot of em!!!!.

I also recall The S*n reporting back in 1985 that Chelsea and West Ham fans caused the Heysell disaster, according to Liverpool fans. One Liverpool fan claimed to of spotted hundreds of fans with London accents in Belgium. No shit Sherlock!!!.Liverpool did have a massive fanbase in London in the 80's.Mainly retards who did'nt have the sense to supoort a London club, going for glory instead.

Nothing's ever Liverpool's fault!!!.

You must read different copies of the tabloids to me as the ones I read are so biased towards the London clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd it's unbelieveable. Liverpool are just an after thought.

As for your comment about Chelsea fans and Heysel then that story surfaced because the week before Heysel, Everton played in and won the Cup Winners Cup Final in Rotterdam and it was widely reported before that game by the papers that the National Front were going to cause a riot at that match.

Obviously it didn't happen as the media and the old bill got hold of it. That's if the story was true in the first place.

A week later Heysel happened and those on Merseyside put two and two together and came up with what they thought to be the right answer.

When it's pointed out to them that all those that got convicted for the riot were Liverpudlians and not one person from London was convicted or even arrested then you get hit with a paddington stare and the feeling that the whole pub wants to kick your head in.

Trust me in that I speak from experience with the latter.

You must have missed the love affair the media were having with
how long before benitez is sacked around the time of the first 3 games of the of the champions league...2 losses & a draw beforehe pulled his ass out of the fire

Personally I think Chelsea deserve all they get.Buying Championships with an open cheque book as they've done has made the sport farcical
At least Blackburn had the good grace to just buy 1 EPL and go back to being a smaller club in the mid 90s

Man U aren't much better...used and discard and buy any hot talent mid-season to prop up the assault(saha-fulham)

Arsenal for all their clever intricate play cant win europe

What really must stick in the throat is Liverpool have the same number of Champions league Final appearances in the past decade than the 3 of them put together

All adds to the legend of the 70s/80s

Most neutrals support Liverpool

Remember most national newspapers have "northern" editions and "southern" editions, printed in Manchester and London.

If you buy a "London" based copy of a paper it may well have totally different reports from the "Manchester" based issue.

You must be joking, liverpool media luvies, most of the sports writers in all the papers are either man u or west ham fans apart from henry winter or tony evans, read most of the papers and they are loathe to give liverpool any credit ie read a previous posting of mine about match of the day and their review of the league game last saturday between arse and liv and it was as if liverpool weren't even there.the two most loved clubs in the media are arsenal and man u.

You think the media's biased, well, for my faults and blind stupidity, I'm a Leeds fan, yes, that's right, a Leeds fan.

Every f****r hates us and that includes the 'Meeja'.
