Not a huge Cricket fan,but i'll be making a few visits to the Oval to watch Surrey. Will only watch the One dayers and 20/20 matches.Plus you can bring beer into cricket grounds.

C'mon the Surrey !thumbsup!

So many people don't know that you can drink freely at a cricket match; except from this year the 20/20s, and that is because they have, ironically, begun to get the 'summering' soccer crowds along.

Lets hope Worcs. can defend the League title!

Cricket has always drawn in the football crowds. It's their buzz for when the season is over. Most football fans will follow their local county regarding Cricket.ie:Chelsea-Surrey or Middlesex, most Brummies and Villa will side with Warwickshire,West Ham with Essex, and so on and so forth.

That can be rather silly- Albion fans 'are supposed' to be Bears supporters; Wolves fans 'supposed' to be Pears....

Think is that I know many BaggiePears, who have stopped going to Edgbaston high season as they get abused by Bears for being 'Wolves supporters'- and then called 'traitors' when they reveal they are Baggies.

One of the biggest hooligan battles I was unfortunate enough to be in the middle of was on the pitch at Old Trafford after Lancashire V Yorkshire.

It was noticeable that most were 'dirty' Leeds v Man Utd but it didn't stop a free for all and will always remember one particular wanker getting twatted with a brolly by some old fella (and I mean old 60 - 70) because the thug had knocked over his Mrs and continued to stand on her in an attempt to get at others.

The thug in his 20's decided to bravely attack the old man hence everyone diving in, including those who until then had just watched.

He was apparently a Sheff Weds fan.

I won't go to a game after that but it should be remembered that these were just drunken arseholes who were there for a fight.

They fight whenever they get the chance and would probably even do it if 'their team' was playing a rival at tiddlywinks if they could.

They are arseholes not football fans. Football is their excuse to be there.
