Yes, as Bungler Broon's government unravels we hear that he had to impose upon President Bush to use the White House blower to phone MP Angela Smith back home and plead with her not to quit over the abolition of the 10 starting tax ? as it would make him and his government look a right set of twats. What a ?nanna? he must appear to our colonial cousins. Mr Bean indeed.

After publicly announcing that she would resign over the abolition of the 10% tax band, " because of the effect it is having on the low paid in my constituancy" Smith had a chat over the phone with Gormless Gordon & decided not to resign!!!
Does that mean she now agrees with the abolition of the 10% ban & that her constituants are no longer suffering?
Wonder what offers of promotion Gormless offered her to change her mind, watch this space.

Saw Harriot Hardface on Question Time last night, a question was raised by a guy, single, with no children, working as a postie & earning ?13000/year & was now ?7/week worse off, Harriot the harlots view was 'tough shit', some one has to suffer & it might as well be the likes of you, she came under sustained fire from the audience but in typical Nu Labour fashion was unable to grasp the FACT that the changes only affect the lower paid workers & some pensioners.
A comment by a member of the audience that more money should be raised by increasing taxation on the mega rich was brushed aside, heaven forbid, it might affect her & the other pigs feeding at the trough.

She said that in a round about sort of way but also said that said bloke had been made better off in previous budgets.

I think Dimblyby missed an opportunity when he asked the Tory is she would reintroduce the 10p when / if elected.

Granted she said she / they are opposed to it now but he should have pressed on.

"Would they after elected and with the 10p in then change it?"

The Tory was very clever (or at least attempted to be very clever) with her answer but the impression I got was no they fucking wouldn't.

Thing that bothered me was that the postie said losing ?7 wouldn't really bother him it would me and although I've edited you on what Harmon said that's why I don't want the 10p to change.

Bumblebee tried to get an answer from Spelman but she is typical of all politicians who never give a straight answer to a question, remember the Paxman vs Howard interview,
I think in the end Bumble realised that he wasn't going to get an answer & gave up on the attempt.
Criticisism of a government's policies by the opposition is nothing new, after all it is what they are there for, I well remember the squeals from Labour when Thatcher introduced the Trades Union reforms, Labour promised to abolish them when they came to power, what happened, you guessed it, zilch.
I too could not understand the guy who said that losing ?7/week did not bother him, I would be bloody upset, particularly on an income of ?13000,
if he was not bothered why did he raise the question?
