NOT the Undertones classic, all time favourite of John Peel (RIP), but the piss poor offering from Ade 'I USED to be funny in 1983' Edmonson.
It beggers belief how this bilge was given a slot at all.
Even adding Rik Mayall and lots of mindless violence couldn't save this tosh.
Still, thats what Friday nights are for........going down the pub and NOT watching shite like this!

What is it with ITV and comedy?!

With the exception of Al Murray I can't recall another single instance of quality laughtership on that channel.

Does catering for the so-called mainstream have to equal 'shite' ?!

It's like The Young Ones never happened!

Isn't this the sort of 'prime time' lame tosh Adrian & friends were railing against in the early 80's, cosy sit-coms? This show isn't that far removed from That's My Boy, George & Mildred etc in it's toe-curling cliche-ridden hamminess

My wife who thinks Edmonson is still funny even cringes at the 'jokes' on this crap.
I believe he is responsible for scripting it as well.
Any credibility he had as an Equity member has gone for good now.

I watched the first episode... crap. But I thought, give it time, it may get better... so I watched the second episode... even worse than the first.

Is Ade Edmonson Avram Grant in disguise? I only ask as the show is totally bereft of ideas.

I watched the first episode and was stunned and shocked at how spectactularly bad it is. Totally devoid of any humour!

Edmonson and his ilk were only funny for about one month in 1984, and since then we've witnessed a procession of mind numbingly banal shite.

"As cheap as possible, please."

But the girl who plays the daughter is quite fit.

It looked just like My Family on the BBC
