another computer question for Jacques

Jacques
Like most here I am delighted you've returned to the forums.
The assistance you've given me on more than one occasion has been really helpful.
Sorry for asking again but do you know how to create a macro using access databases?
I am trying and failing miserably to create one that takes information from one part of a database as uses it as a mail merge while at the same time uses part of the info to make another mail merge, while keeping a record of everything.
For example
You write to me I put your info in a database and I acknowledge your letter using it. (as a mail merge)
I then send your details to the appropriate department (as a mail merge)
i.e. Dear Trumpton please see letter from Jacques keeping a record of it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Microsoft help is (as most know) no help but if you could even find the page its on I'd be grateful.
Cheers
Andy
BTW Don't forget I thick
