African Despot ? ?Billions In Bank?
So that?s where all OUR hard earned dough has ended up after decades of western luvvie largess.
Our glorious (though electorally tarnished) leader has modelled himself as ?Mr Africa?. So will the current drubbing at the polls spur him on to hand over even more of your wedge? Or will he now see sense and spend it on the people who have actually made it and earned it?

That's the problem with "helping Africa", Dibs.
And whatever's left after the continent's rulers have done their siphoning-off goes - for the most part - on the various charities' and NGOs' "administrative fees", with only a small amount actually ending up where it's supposed to.
Western politicians will never learn though - and in any case "helping Africa" is widely regarded as a trendy, politically correct cause, with celebrities also falling over themselves to jump on the bandwagon.
"Eliminate Fuel Poverty Among UK Pensioners NOW" though doesn't have anywhere near the same degree of "sexiness", nor will it get you a headline-grabbing audience with people like Nelson Mandela.

What the Africans need are more people like my Great Great Great Grandfather.
He used to provide literally hundreds of them with good, honest employment. Being busy kept them out of mischief and they were given free food and lodgings to boot.

Sorry to piss on your ignorant, racist parade, but how do you come to the conclusion that it's YOUR money?
Yes some money you may have given (either as charitable contributions, or as foreign aid paid from taxes levied by the treasury) may have been used by organisations such as UNICEF, Red Cross, etc in trying to help victims of the civil war in Sierra Leone, but no money either from the UK or any charity was given directly to the government of Liberia at the time Charles Taylor was President.
The money he is alleged to have squirrelled away will have come from diamond mining, iron ore, rubber and the use of Liberia as a flag of convenience etc, so if anything it rightfully belongs to the people of Liberia... but in no way, shape or form can you lay claim to a single penny of that money.

To be honest Bob, I don't see what's "racist" about pointing out the corruption that's rife among Africa's leaders (a well-known and widely acknowldedged problem).
Or are these folk above reproach simply because they're black?
Nor do I understand why it should be deemed "racist" to criticise one's own government for the cavalier way in which they sink large amounts of taxpayers' money into a problem (Africa) that only ever seems to get more hopeless the more money gets thrown at it.
Although he didn't say so, I think Dibs was simply using Liberia as an example of what goes on across the continent of Africa as a whole, assuming that most people would be able to deduce that for themselves.

Re: African Despot ? ?Billions In Bank?
Thank you for your contribution, Bob ? always a pleasure.
You seem to be a little upset over just who?s money Charles Taylor has misappropriated, and in particular you seem more than a little miffed at the suggestion that it might be the British taxpayer?s money ? though you go on to say ?Yes some money you may have given (either as charitable contributions, or as foreign aid paid from taxes levied by the treasury?.
I didn?t want to get into the precise in?s and outs of Taylor?s finances. I was just making a general point about corrupt African despots (of which Taylor is a classic example) feathering their nests with helpful injections of cash from western luvvies trying to atone for ?The Empire? - using their hardworking taxpayer?s money.
If indeed it is true that Taylor didn?t siphon off any direct government or NGO aid, then any indirect western aid that Liberia was receiving at that time would surely have helped him in his crimes by placating the hungry population - leaving him untroubled and unhindered in squirreling away the loot that should have been spent on the Liberian people.
Here?s a useful exert from Wikipedia -
?Liberia has relied heavily on vast amounts of foreign assistance, particularly from the United States, Japan, Britain, France, Italy, Germany, the People's Republic of China, and Romania.?
Of course the key words here are ? ?vast amounts?, ?foreign assistance? and ?Britain?.
Officer Dibble ? You know it makes sense

Which is precisely why we should not give one fucking penny of British citizens hard earned money to the greedy, murdering bastards who claim to be revitalising Africa and improving the health of their people.
