A 'Troll' Speaks Out

It?s recently come to my attention that a disgruntled faction of my fellow forumites has denounced me as ?a troll?. Well, imagine my surprise that after eight years of posting on these forums (and an integral part of the forums it?s been said) I?m suddenly a troll! I can?t get my breath. What could have precipitated this bizarre allegation? It couldn?t be anything to do with making them feel foolish about being ?metrosexuals? ?luvvies? or NuLabour supporters could it? Surely not?...You reckon?... Oh dear? Well, hey, they did bring it on themselves.
I mean, look - their bourgeois egalitarianism has been shown to be little more than naked spite, envy, delusion, pretence, tribalism and shallow conformism. The name calling, the venom, the spite in their tone gives the game away. They?ve reached the end of the intellectual line, they have no answers. This of course forces them to confront the fact that they?ve wasted so much of their life on silly, intellectually bankrupt, arguments. They feel understandably foolish, exposed, resentful and angry.
They now realise that they are not the ?nice? people that their smug conceit allowed them to believe. They realise they are no better than anyone else and their self-righteous morality serves just the same purpose to them as the Bentley or Lear Jet does to the wealthy man they so despise. It allows them to feel important, special, and superior to the ?ignorant? hoi polloi.
Socially concerned are they? Only if someone else pays the bill and clears up the mess. Look at ?em. Hear the arrogance, condescension, and spite in their tone. They?re not the nice enlightened people they?re pleased to believe; they?re just as ignorant, mean, and flawed as anyone else. What do they know about life, eh? They can?t even analyse the input of their own senses and form their own independent view of the world. They?ve had to buy into someone else?s ready-made ?ism?. They have nothing left, they have nowhere to go, and their only recourse now, apart from confronting themselves and recalibrating their belief systems, is to denounce me as a troll. What a sorry bunch they are.
