Celtic legend and Scottish internationalist who died today after fighting cancer for some years.

Well I was in total shock - didn't expect that at all (knew he had skin cancer but didn't realise it was life threatening) ... puts everything into perspective when that hits home.
Tommy Burns was one of the few Old Firm Players who was loved and respected by EVERYBODY in Scotland no matter what team they supported. A brilliant football player (and coach) who I personally met on a few occasions and as everybody will testify he was very unassuming and made time for anybody who came into contact with him - he was one from the old school which sadly seems to be too much like hard work for most modern players nowadays.
R.I.P. Tommy Burns - a very sad day for Scottish Football.
