Proof, if it were needed, that this channel is going down the pan: its signed Piers Morgan on a two-year deal to present a chat show.

It's Murdoch's plan so everyone subscribes to Sky!

Let's be honest Piers Morgan has made a very good living out of finding the middle ground between working class and as one suspects he is himself the well to do, so I think that works pretty good in the present political climate (ask officer dribbler if not sure).

I would say as ex editor of The Sun's Showbiz Arm "Bizarre" and then going on to be editor of "The Mirror" he ain't some sort of thick cunt and might just know his beans ... so if you don't agree with his apparent golden handcuffs deal with ITV Caractacus - who would you recommend/approve to do a better job then??

Certainly better than ITV's latest chat show idea (the gay cunt Anthony Cotton off Coronation Street ... if memory serves me correct - obviously trying to follow the Graham Norton/Paul O'Grady forumula but failing miserably)

I would also say that ITV might also be trying to tie him to this deal because Morgan has become pretty well known in the USA recently as well - seemingly he won the American Version of Celebrity Apprentice - so they might just see this as a very good pre-emtive strike.

And Amanda Holden is to advertise tissues for kleenex.....ok,ok,John Terry as well !grin!.

Seriously, will that woman ever stop crying?,and will she stop giving people the sympathy vote?.

Watched that Britain's Got Talent last night and was pleased to see the deserved candidates go through.Good to see the public who votes on these programmes are starting to think the right way, rather than backing down to sob story's from the entrants.

Also watched Headcases.Must admit, that Lampard & Gerrard piano sketch had me in stitches.

Far be it from me, Crofter, to tell ITV who to sign and in what capacity. Morgan is a loathsome human being, that's all----check out some of the journalistic work he highlighted when working as an editor if you don't agree with that opinion.

True, but it's what the young viewing public as well as the couch potatoes want to see.I rarely watch ITV,only for the Champions League and the odd movie.

ITV has gone too 'wafer thin' and chavvy for my liking.
