anybody know where I could get a copy of "straw dogs" starring
the ravishing susan george from the early 70's ?
this film was available for rent in video shops until the bbfc
thought she was enjoying the rape sequence too much !!
There was another film called something like "mandango" she starred in with a black actor which I would also love to see.
there was another film where she shagged a guy at her mothers guest house and she walks slowly up a staircase naked. What an ass!!

This was "Mandingo",based on the novel of the same name, from 1975.(I saw this at the drive-in with a mate of mine;I could relate a little anecdote, but it would be very very OT & likely less interesting to ya'll than it is to me, so I won't bore you.)I really loved Susan George back then....yum.

This has prompted me to ask if anyone knows any reliable websites who sell full uncut versions of the films which still remain banned (eg Last House On The Left) or films which have been passed heavily cut such as Evil Dead?

I remember as a kid back in 1984 the video clubs were full of all these great horror films. Then there was the campaign by the tabloid gutter press (The Sun and The Mail I think) which lead to loads of films being banned before I was old enough to see them. Some such as The Burning and The Bogeyman returned but with heavy cuts. I never got to see any of them uncut. According to Melonfarmers its confusing as there are several versions of most films. Any ideas?

With a bit of luck some of these sites will indicate which versions they have. It seems distributers sometimes make cuts themselves even without the interference of the BBFC.

The title ( I had to look it up) was "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry" from 1974.I'm sure I saw it several times but don't really remember it.Well, sorta. Do they start out on a houseboat & Peter Fonda does something wrong & gets the cops after him??
