Big Phil Targets Folan

Interesting:

Big Phil Scolari newly installed manager at rudderless Chelsea's FC has made it his intention to make Hull City goal machine Caleb Folan His priority target. Big Phil it is said will stop at nothing and is refusing to take no for an answer. With the wealth of his Russian billionaire owner behind him it may well be that Chelsea will make Hull City an offer that is to good to turn down.

Chelsea FC have a policy of seeking out other clubs star players for use in their own reserve team. This has worked well for them in the past with players such as Wright-Phillips,Sidwell,Bridge and many others enjoying their football and taking their careers forward with Chelsea reserves.

Hull City moved quickly to quell the speculation and a press statement issued late last night stated that Hull City are not a selling club and Supercal is "going nowhere".

Caleb Folan himself is said to be not keen on the idea as he did not support them as a child and in fact claims he didn't know much about them or even hear anything of them until recently. It is thought Folan may prefer to stay at Hull a while yet to fine tune the raw talent he has under the guidance of Dean Windass the man who so famously scored in the 1-0 victory, away at Cardiff on the day Leeds United were relegated to the third division.

Chelsea will keep coming back as they always do but odds are that Caleb will still not be a Chelsea player come the august restart of the premiership.

Would be good to see Scolari eye English talent, with the help of his pal Capello.

Will also be interesting to see Scolari's attitude to Chelsea's youth policy.Chelsea's youth academy is recognised as one of the best in Europe, and as a fan,i want to see some of these players coming through the ranks.

Will be interesting as well to see if Scolari can work with Frank Arnesene (sp?)

I doubt Hull will sell Folan though.
